Over a decade in the making, Celebrations by Samara, LLC is a culmination of more than twelve years of event production industry experience and an ultimate goal to put the host back in the party.Samara started her professional career as an Event Planner in New York City designing and coordinating all aspects of large scale, complex corporate events for an award-winning event production company.A few years later, Samara left the lights and glamour of the big city for the more nomadic life as a “Navy Wife” but her love of party planning and coordination remained strong. Never content with the status quo, Samara quickly jumped back to her passion coordinating and executing several major Navy events and formal galas for the Submarine community.
Finally, after 6 years, six states, and a lifetime’s worth of friends and experiences, in 2006 the Hurley family left the Navy and settled down in Houston to establish roots in this vibrant and thriving city. Samara is an active member of the community and an involved parent, playing a prominent role on the school committees and coordinating many school events. She is also a member of several local and national organizations ranging from significant charitable foundations to event industry associations to include: Hadassah Le’Atid; Kappa Delta Alumni Society; International Special Events Society; National Association of Catering Executives; National Association of Professional Women VIP; Bellaire Young Mothers Group; Meyerland Mothers of Young Children and many others.
Entertaining has always been Samara’s passion and nothing saddens her more than watching a parent or host needlessly stress over the organization or execution of their event. Samara knows all too well through her personal and professional experience the pitfalls and tribulations that inevitably arise regardless of how well the preparation may have been. If you are hosting a special event, whether a birthday, a housewarming get-together, a bar/bat mitzvah or a full-fledged formal gala, you should not spend your time worrying about the details. You will not get a “party in a box”. Each and every event is tailor-made to your desires and budget. We have developed close working relationships with trusted vendors, suppliers, caterers and artists to ensure your event goes smoothly and reliably.
We do all the research for you. We take full responsibility for the planning. We manage the technicalities of all contracts. We are there before your guests arrive and leave only after everything is cleaned up accordingly. You hire an event coordinator to make your party seamless, fun and memorable.
